I joined the Boy Scouts of America as a Tiger Cub leader in Pack 235 in Whitestone New York, in October 1986. In 1989 the Pastor of Grace Episcopal Church asked me to reactive scouting in the parish and I served as a Pack Committee member of Pack 137 and Scoutmaster Troop 137. During this time, I served on the Dan Beard District Committee and as a unit commissioner in the district. In 1990 I became the Chartered Organization Representative of Explorer Post 473 chartered to the New York Hall of Science Amateur Radio Club and in 1991 assumed the position of advisor to the Post. I have served as the District Membership chairman, District Commissioner, District Venturing Chairman and District Training Chairman. I am currently Advisor to Venturing Crew 473, Queens Council Venturing Chairman, a unit commissioner, and the Associate Adviser Lodge Operations to Suanhacky Lodge. I was inducted into Suanhacky Lodge in May 2000 and served as Lodge OA Representative adviser that year. In May 2001 I was asked to assume the duties of the Associated Adviser of Lodge Operations and held that position until May 2006 when I was named Acting Lodge Adviser. In October 2006 I became Finance Adviser. I sealed my membership in the Order of the Arrow in March 2001 and received the Vigil Honor in May 2006 and was given the name Netami Mis Nimat “First Sister Brother”. I have attended 8 Section Conclaves, completed both NLS and NLATS.

I am a recipient of the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver. I have completed both Trainers Wood Badge and Boy Scout Wood Badge and have served on staff for Wood Badge for the 21st Century.

I am employed with a local importer of premium wines and gourmet foods as a certified taster, and General Manager. In my spare time

I enjoy walking in the woods, reading and doing petitpoint tapestries.
