John Mulvey is currently the 2007-2008 Suanhacky Lodge Chief. He enters the lodges highest office after serving a term as Vice Chief of Chapter Operations. Additionally John has held all three Matinecock Chapter Vice Chief positions including two terms as CVC Inductions. John's other chairman positions between the lodge and chapter include Unit Elections, Fellowship, Training, Indian Affairs, Vigil and he served as the Editor in Chief of the 75th Anniversary Totem.
Inducted in 2002, he sealed his membership in 2003 and was bestowed with the Vigil Honor in May, 2006. John was awarded the Order's highest honor, the Founders Award in 2007. And is a proud Golden Stag recipent. Additionally John has earned and received many other scouting awards and is proud to say that he took the nations highest youth training course, the National Junior Leader Instructor Course at Philmont Scout Ranch.
John is an Eagle Scout from Troop 18 in College Point where he served multiple terms as ASPL and JASM. Over the summers John serves on the staff at Camp Keowa, most recently serving as the Program Director of the Village at Lakeside.
Outside of scouting, John is a sophomore at St. John's University where he isn't working hard to maintain his 4.0 average. A major Mets fan, John also enjoys attending cultural and theatrical events.
John very much looks forward to his lifetime term as a Former Lodge Chief.
